Friends, we want to say that although we have a fairly strong service, we started creating charging stations at the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russia into Ukraine. So we are still avid volunteers, and we received a request for eco-flow. We looked at its price, we were a little embarrassed by it... No, it's cool, there's also a small screen that shows you how much charge is left, in hours, that is, everything is done so that you don't even have to think about it. But the price is quite high, at that time it was about UAH 65,000 with a 1kWh battery. We started looking for our domestic models - they were there, although there were fewer companies involved in this at the time, some of them were bulky and not very technical, and others were smaller with a lithium battery, but the price was not so cheap considering that the battery capacity is about 500W.
That's why they didn't notice it when they made our first model... it was in a wooden box with an acid battery and a regular charger that charged the battery in 10 hours. In addition, a MPPT solar controller and an additional solar panel were installed in it. It is used by the unit to this day, which is not surprising).
Then we moved on to plastic shockproof cases, lithium batteries, etc. First of all, we took into account the needs of the military, namely:
1) Strong shockproof, waterproof case - a Yato case was chosen for this, then replaced with a Paton case. Sockets were moved inside the case in this way during transportation, etc. it is very difficult to damage the case, there was a case when it was moved by a bus and it continued to work.
2) "All in one" - we decided that this principle of the configuration of the charging station is best suited for military purposes, because agree, when the shelling is going on, you are unlikely to look for a charger! Whatever came to hand was saved, and it's trivial to lose anything because the charger and the solar controller and everything else are in one case.
3) Fast charging - at first we used ready-made chargers, but they charged our batteries for about 10 hours. The military asked for less, as it is not always possible to charge for so long ... Therefore, we developed a charger based on 12V 30A power supply units that charges the most powerful model in 4-5 hours.
4) lithium batteries have significantly reduced weight and increased the amount of energy, and support for fast charging has significant advantages. We use a battery Li-ion NMC brand LG Chem model E63. The Powerstream MAX-1500 uses six such batteries with a nominal capacity of 120A and a voltage of 12.6V, connected according to the 3S2P scheme. Be sure to use a BMS board that controls, balances and protects the battery.
5) Support for charging from a solar panel - this is primarily convenient in the sunny season and allows charging from a 12-24v solar panel. Also, it is this port that allows charging from the car - we complete each power bank with a cable with a cigarette lighter plug. Charging time depends on the solar panel. Charging controller -10A. In general, a 100W panel charges a power bank about 70-80% per day.
6) The inverter in the standard configuration with an approximated sine wave and a power of 300W, but if necessary, you can use 600/1200W with an approximated and pure sine wave.
7) The price for the Armed Forces consists of the cost price of such a station, we do not seek to make money from it, and even more so from our military. For civilians, we sell 20% more expensively.
